When I opened my browser tonight to post some press releases for a client my brain stuttered.
I was looking at the words, "Rover spots strange..." but my eyes were certain I was looking at a map of North America fused with the also easily recognized and otherwise typically separated continents.
Why post it here? On a business marketing, sales and copywriting blog?
Because it is a terrific example of confusing or contradictory terms and images, or combination of both to get the reader's attention, interest, and reason to take action. A great tool for salesmen (and women), presenters and copywriters.
The article isn't sensationalistic in any way imaginable. And it certainly doesn't make the map of the Earth's continents connection. Of course it may just be my twisted, tired brain. But it's still cool and leaves me with a couple of questions...
- Did Martians 'carve' the image on the rock to show what they were seeing on Earth? Or,
- Is this some form of Martian blueprint/ floorplan for what they were planning for the Earth to look like? Or,
- Is this really just a natural phenomena? And,
- Am I the only one who sees this?
Take a look and leave a comment here letting me know what you think...
Be the Hero,
Mark
