Interesting article for anyone using e-mail in their marketing.
Not sure about the author's percentages on open, click-thru rates, etc.
Of course, the author does make reference that there is an existing relationship between sender and recipient. Having a relationship will have a impact on open rate- an interest in the content would increase the click-thru.
Lessons:
Ask what your list wants to see from you;
Be consistent;
Be newsworthy;
Have a good/great offer;
Be two-way/ interactive-
Have fun reading.
